By the end of the school year, 2009, I have been in the teaching game a grand total of 11 years. A significant amount of time by anyone’s standards. My undergraduate work was in Foreign Languages and my graduate work in Multilingual/Multicultural Education. I have taught in private and public high schools, as well as universities as an Adjunct Professor, not to mention graduate studies courses for other teachers. My commentaries on current educational events come from the breadth of my experience, my educational background, my Latino heritage, and my family’s multicultural sancocho of genes. I have practiced martial arts extensively, ride motorcycles, listen to a wide range of music, and read exhaustively. I look forward to a very intellectual style of dialogue on this page.
